St Francis Historical Museum Displays
Catral Doyle worked with city officials, Bray Architects, and the Historical society to develop the St Francis Historical Society artifact displays. The 8 circular floor to ceiling displays are featured in the rotunda of the new St Francis Municipal building.
We integrated an impressive collection of Historical Society artifacts that we combined with visual communications to bring the stories to life. Our first challenge was organizing the artifacts into cohesive collections. Once the collections were organized into eight stories, we developed themes for each display with background graphics and story panels. The graphics help connect the objects with the lifestyle of the residents through history. All of the objects were meticulously placed in the displays with various types of historic fasteners. The St Francis Historical Society members brought a wealth of information, imagery and inspiration to help make the project a success.
